Product Review: Solid Conditional Bars – Bain & Savon

This is an interesting story, and should be read alongside my first review (Product Review: Coconutty Soapnut Shampoo Bar) which also details struggling with adapting to bar shampoos in addition to some tips and suggestions to aid your own transition.

I purchased a number of Bain & Savon Solid Conditional Bars from Peace With The Wild, making the assumption that I would need twice as much conditioner as shampoo in order to ensure my hair was not dry.

But, in fact, once my hair had been weened from the chemicals of conventional shampoos and conditioners, I discovered that it was barely even necessary to use a conditioner at all! My hair was no longer that dry, and the shampoos alone left my hair tangle free, easy to brush, thick and soft! So, I use these as more of a weekly / fortnightly “treatment” now.

Furthermore, solid conditioner bars are extremely economical and will last for a long time, as you will only need a small amount for each use! (So I am set for a few years now, I suspect!)

Either way, all our hair is different – and, like mine, may change in type over the adaptation period. This is a great conditioning product – The Bain & Savon range of conditioner bars have been blended with various natural oils including grapefruit, lavender, Ylang Ylang and basil essential oils. All important natural ingredients hand picked for their hair nourishing and hydrating properties.

The solid conditioner bars are available for:

Be prepared to change your conditioner as your hair adapts to a toxic-chemical-free life!
